So here is another Paradox .
Why did the terrorists hit the Chabad Center when there were much "softer" Jewish targets where they could have hurt many more Jews?
Targets like the Jewish Community Center or the Hazon Eli Foundation Center for Jewish Life.
My surmise is that it was not an accident that the Chabad Center was attacked. The terrorists knew that, if their intent was maximum pain to Israelis, Chabad was the natural target.

The disconnect between our leadership and Main Street has been clearly shown in the past week. Day after day Paulson, Bernanke or some other official or elected representative tries to explain why this credit crunch is not about saving "Wall Street" fat cats.
Unfortunately they only seem to be able to use "financial-speak" and jargon. If only they would put it in terms that has meaning to the average person.

During my stay at the Dead Sea this past two weeks, the drama of the Financial Crunch and Paulson's Bailout plan played itself out. I was riveted to CNBC listening to the live broadcast of the Senate hearings as Paulson and Bernanke presented their arguments for the need to "socialize capitalism".
Even though it strictly has nothing to do with "Our Mediterranean Paradox", I feel a need to share some thoughts.
