It is a very well written piece that captures the essence of the place of Chabad in the minds of non-religous Israelis. It reaffirms that they do look at Chabad in a different light from their usual negativity toward the ultra-orthodox "black hats".

It somehow seems appropriate that my first blog should be about a blogging conference.
The idea of starting my own blog about my thoughts on living in Israel has been in my head for a while. So it was natural to jump at the chance to attend this conference.
Expecting a mostly technical discussion of blogging - how-to do this and that - I came prepared for a fairly boring evening, Was I ever wrong!
In my many years of attending conferences and like meeting I can honestly say this was without doubt the most electic.
