Above and beyond the party politics, history will remember this day as being one of the milestones in the advancement of the American Dream.
However the euphoria of the moment will pass. You have inherited one of the worst messes ever passed on to a new administration. Not the least of them is one of which I have some real knowledge - the Middle East.
Understanding the Middle East requires a new look at the "Forest vs the Trees" analogy. Otherwise you are doomed to the same frustrations as your predecessors who tried to make peace here.
